40 hook templates across 7 categories. Hooks are the first 1-3 seconds of any content — they determine whether someone stops scrolling or keeps going.

Category 1 — Authority & Expertise

Establish credibility and insider knowledge.

Category 2 — Problem-Solution

Lead with the pain point, deliver the fix.

Category 7 — Social Proof

Model success and invite identity upgrade.

Testing Protocol

  • Rotate 2-3 hooks per category per week. Do not repeat the same hook structure back-to-back.
  • Track performance by category. Identify which category resonates most with your audience.
  • Double down on winners. When a hook outperforms, create 3-5 variations in the same category.
  • Kill underperformers fast. If a hook category consistently underdelivers after 2 weeks of testing, pause and reallocate to stronger categories.
